Dear Putnam County Residents,

This election for Sheriff is about more than politics — it’s about restoring integrity, accountability, and community trust in law enforcement. With nearly 40 years of experience in policing, including 13 years in Putnam County and 7 as Commanding Officer of Cold Spring Police, I’ve led with transparency, improved response times, and built strong community relationships.

In contrast, Acting Sheriff Hess was appointed through political favoritism, not merit. He lacks command experience, budget management skills, and meaningful ties to our community — having only recently begun voting in Putnam County.

As your Sheriff, I will implement a countywide community policing model, ensuring every town has a dedicated deputy focused on local concerns and relationship-building. My vision is a department that works hand-in-hand with schools, businesses, and neighborhoods — where deputies are known and trusted.

On November 4, I ask for your vote to bring experienced, community-focused leadership to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
